Rites of passage

Air temperature 32 F, scattered clouds, wind south at about 5 mph for the newspaper walk. Looks like neighbors aren't partaking of the canoe race this year -- yellow kayak still along side of the house, and other rituals not performed.

Water high when I looked at the stream yesterday. Maybe we can get through another year without anyone dying?
