Gray morning

Not raining.  In fact, weather radar doesn't show any globs in Maine at the current moment.  Trying to decide if this foretells a bike ride in my future -- roads still wet, and temperature about 50 F.

Decisions, decisions.

Haven't seen a redpoll this week.  Blotch-finches showing more yellow every day.

Wednesday no-roadkill report

Ex-squirrel and ex-porcupine still in residence on the route, but no new corpses.

Road surfaces started to dry out, so I donned my bike gear and headed out.  And ran into light mist at about 3 miles, which did not surprise me as my last-minute check on the weather sites told me that air temperature was 55 F with a dew-point of 54 . . .

Anyway, switched on the blinking taillight in honor of the reduced visibility.  Came back damp, but the ski pants and top proved to be just the right weight, so not chilled.

Skunk cabbage leaves are up, green spots in the bog.  Also some yellow flowers that Wife identified for me the other day but which I have since forgot.
