Lament for a neighborhood tree

Bucket truck and crew currently engineering the demise of an old silver maple a couple of houses north of us.  Thus we lose the sharp-shinned hawk snag, ruler of all it surveys.  Our view is lessened thereby.

Granted, we've been taking bets on how long that tree would stay out of the attic under it . . .
