Monday no-roadkill report
Apr. 6th, 2009 12:39 pmNot even a flat squirrel to report. Unless you consider the rags and tatters of damaged automobiles strewn along the verges of our roads, that is, or the roads themselves as roadkill. The latter being somewhat the worse for winter's slings and arrows . . .
Temperature up near 50 F and no rain yet (although Opening Day at Fenway Park is postponed by our pending storm), so I pedaled out to the golf course and back again. Open water on the river and the cemetery pond, with a mallard drake in the latter. I suspect other ducks that I didn't see, as mallards do not tend to solitary.
Still using the mountain bike, to better navigate winter grit and potholes.
