Mockingbird singing this morning.  Not the warming-up trills and snatches, but full-throated ruler-of-all-he-surveys song.  (Pretty sure on the "he" -- females also sing, but softer.)

On the other hand, redpolls remain.  Won't be actual spring until they leave.

Overnight low about 20 F, may reach 50 this afternoon.  Rain tomorrow?  Bike ride today?

(I promise I'll switch to the traditional Roadkill Report once the novelty wears off . . .)

Temperature into upper 40s F, with little wind.  Mountain bike again, with the knobby tires to cope with sand-gravel residue and the scattered patches of melt-water.  Bare ground showing in large patches, wherever the sun's writ doth run.

Still taking it easy, reminding various muscles of their duties under the new regime.
