Outing

Took advantage of the recent snow and a decent day to head out on an Expotition.  Drove for a while and then skied along a lake and up a hill and discovered that the Park Service snowmobile had not continued on around the lake and slogged along for a while breaking my own trail and then decided that this was the way gray-haired men with more ambition than sense had heart-attacks in the deep woods, so I turned around and skied back the way I came.  Beautiful day, with prime examples offered of why that area lost power and phone in our latest storm -- branches and whole trees down, plus tree-arches festooned with snow.
