Skis! With added carnivores.
Feb. 1st, 2009 03:10 pmNo, the carnivores weren't chasing me, either with or without skis.
Got up to the university trail system for the first time this year, and found that they hadn't groomed one particular section I wanted to use. Will relocate parking spot next time. But had a good time, didn't freeze any delicate parts of my anatomy, etc. Temperature in the mid-teens F, which is decent for skiing.
Carnivores? Well, some of the canine "sign" (scat) on the trail had deer hair in it. Looks like the coyotes have been dining on the higher end of the herbivore spectrum.
5 miles +/- (no distance posts or signs), 1 hour.
