A dite chilly

Overnight low -24 F at the airport.  Probably near -40 in the far reaches of the Great North Woods.  And in these ranges, you don't need a formula to convert from English to Metric units.  They all work out to "Damned cold."

No wind for the newspaper walk, though.  So all my appendages came through intact.

(After further internet poking, the record low for this date/place was -20 F.  Global warming for the win!)

Also, dry

Took a hot shower this morning (sheer luxury) and didn't manage to steam up the bathroom mirror . . .

(Dew point at the time was about -10 F.  I scraped some of the overnight dew point off Wife's car before she left for work.)

Also, very cold

Report on the noon news of a -50 F reading in the back country.  The Weather Service will have to verify, calibrate thermometer, etc.. as this would be an all-time low for all of Maine . . .
