Short attention-span

According to an item in the Daily Fishwrapper, pickup trucks still occupy the top four spots in vehicle sales in Maine.  And a Toyota dealership has 25 unsold Prius hybrids languishing on their lot.

Tenant spotted

Checked the rowan-tree hole when I headed out for the morning newspaper walk.  Downy woodpecker face looking back at me.  Suspicion confirmed.

Timing is everything.

Illicit cats

Wife and I were returning from our afternoon walk and spotted Crazy Cat up near the end of our block.  She's a new cat, with a tag we haven't been able to read, so we just identify her by behavior.  Anyway, we stopped and petted and scritched a bit.

Until Tiger came out from in back of their house and thumped her flat.  We are his people . . .

I looked first, honest.  Don't know where he was hiding.  But we are forgiven, after a suitable penance of Tiger scritching.
