When you're used to chickadees and goldfinches in the sideyard tree, a crow looks like a B-52 perched . . .

Wife saw three ravens playing in yesterday's snow and wind -- chase and dive and fly upside down and swap order.  They didn't mind the weather.

We got about 2" of dry fine snow.  Although how the weather-people measured it, with the wind and all, remains a puzzle.  Much of the driveway remains bare, for example.  Supposed to get another storm Tuesday plus-minus, mostly rain and mix here, but all snow in the mountains and north woods.  Haven't yet heard our annual tale of hunters trapped 'way back on some obscure logging road.

The nature center has an outside program today, surviving in the woods.  I told Wife that you're not supposed to have the test before the students take the course . . .
