Not actually raining

Gray morning, forecast of showers later, chance of snow up in the hills. 

Not all political signs yet removed.  There's a law, people.  You have one day more . . .

But, soft! what light through yonder window breaks?

Sunshine?

Must be a mistake.  FedEx delivered to the wrong address.

And another sadness

Miriam Makeba, dead at 76. 

I think she was my first exposure to a really different music that still resonated.  Words I couldn't pronounce, singing . . .

The moon was a ghostly galleon

The sun went away -- someone obviously took note of the correct delivery address.  Anyway, rain again.

But it stopped and I went for a walk after dinner.  Clouds scudding across, moon first a hazy blotch and then clear, even stars after a bit. 

Which means it's gonna get cold.
