Update from the hinterlands.
Oct. 29th, 2008 09:01 amStill windy. Sunrise this morning. The latter item is not as routine as you may think.
And, relative to the election, we still receive campaign literature in spite of my published prohibition. By ignoring the front door (hey, I fixed the doorbell at the wrong time), we can at least limit that to stuff tucked between storm-door and frame. A few of the campaign workers have enough Maine-savvy to come to the side door, the kitchen door, the real entrance of the proper Maine home, but we can ignore that one too. We have practice.
Got a check in yesterday's mail (thanks, Sharon) but it was not one of the pending big-ticket items mentioned in a previous entry. So the world still owes us. The joys of self-employment overflow.
(Addendum: one check for The Day Job in this morning's mail. Naturally, the smallest of those pending . . .)
