A touch autumnal

Temperature in the upper 40s F overnight, low 50s now.  A little reminder of why we took decent sleeping bags when we went camping with the boys in days of yore, late August, and usually enjoyed that campfire.

Wednesday no-roadkill report

No roadkill of any kind noted.  Of course, I had passages where I was paying more attention to traffic or potholes than to the road shoulders, so I could have missed a corpse or two . . .

Brisk autumnal day, with breeze.  Subtract the breeze and it would have been ideal bicycle weather.  Thistles going all fuzzy.  Other signs of the changing season, both (American) football and soccer (futbol) high-school teams practicing in the field out near the State Hospital.  A little over a week and we can get those adolescent nuisances off the streets and back under state control.
