Thursday roadkill report
Jun. 5th, 2008 11:26 amOne scrap of gray fur on the pavement -- presumed squirrel, but could be Other. Also assorted blood spots, fresh after yesterday's rain.
Windy, variable clouds and sun, damp, but I'm a Man, I can take it. Bike ecology being what it is, the ride took three minutes more than Tuesday's, and six minutes more than no-wind conditions...
Yellow hawkweed has joined the buttercups and dandelions in the Mellow brigade, and bush honeysuckle blooms back in the edges of the forest. More blue flag, well-guarded by poison ivy in drifts.
And a note to the trucker with the air-horn -- yes, damned near everyone has an asshole. You don't have to let it dominate your personality.
