Tuesday no-roadkill report
May. 27th, 2008 10:44 amNo identifiable remains on the bike route today, although I passed several blood-splots. I guess that account must be maxed-out from our drive to New Hampshire last weekend.
Gap between a warm front and a cold front this morning, sunshine but breezy (as in, I went from 10 mph to 14 mph upwind, just by riding into the wind-shadow of a forested area after the bog, even though I was then going uphill...) Callas sighted in the bog, chokecherries or black cherries blooming, more rhodora.
If anyone out there in radio-land knows of a good post-doc position for a research PhD specializing in the psychology of perception and optical illusions, let me know and I'll pass the word along to Younger Son. He's had a couple of possibilities fall through. Yeah, now he has to find a job. Welcome to the World, young man.
(In theory, he also has a Masters in education tucked away somewhere. But I doubt if he is interested in teaching high school Latin...)
