Sunday no-roadkill report
May. 25th, 2008 12:44 pmNo roadkill expected, with a cross-town ride on citified streets, and none seen. But we still show a surplus in that column after yesterday's odyssey...
Beautiful weather, blue sky and little wind and temperatures in the 60s F, so I stirred up the blood clots from 400 miles of sitting and headed out on the bike. The mockingbirds seem to have experienced a population explosion after last winter's lack of severe cold -- heard four singing in areas that have not had claimants before. Had to modify my cross-town route due to a bridge replacement project, supposed to reopen late next month. Traffic engineers need to plan better.
Now I need to send digital photos of Younger Son, PhD in full regalia to various relatives.
