October morn

Frost again, somewhat heavier -- those drips on the car windshield were ice.  Fog along the river valley, low enough that I could see the tops of the trees beyond.  Clear sunrise and more burning maples.

We have a couple of white-crowned sparrows mixed in with the white-throats and juncos.  Have to look closer at the ground-feeding birds, rather than just glancing at the milling mob.

And then the occasional squirrel practicing sparrow-bowling...
