Thursday roadkill report
Oct. 11th, 2007 11:38 amSquirrels. Always the flat squirrels. Also a car in a ditch beside a straight stretch of 25 mph road, with no intersection close. That takes skill and effort.
Gray again, coolish again (55 F +/-), but not actually raining yet. Snatched another bike ride from the gaping jaws of the next ice age. Most of the red maples out in the bog have now dropped their leaves, and the tamaracks have started to turn. Time marches on. Biked through a couple of flocks of juncos on the way, both less threatening and less exciting than flocks of wild turkeys, but still nice. No active threats on my life this time.
