Thursday no-roadkill report
Sep. 20th, 2007 04:47 pmNo roadkill because I wasn't biking on roads. Although some suicidal red squirrels wanted to test that theory, under my wheels...
Pumped up the tires on the mountain bike, loaded it and sundry impedementia into and on my car, and drove down to the carriage trails of Mount Desert Island, where a fine day awaited. A fine day with an excessive amount of uphill, but that's life in the back country. Biked over the shoulders of a couple of mountains, and my legs will have things to say about this later.
22 miles +/-, 2:50 including lunch and sightseeing breaks. All approximate because I've never set up the new bike computer on the other bike.
(And don't chide me over the eco-wrecking act of driving two hours each way to bike for three hours...)
