One flat squirrel up on the Kelly Road.  Also, apparently I should have listed my front tire as roadkill for the Tuesday ride -- had to replace the tube before heading out.  Classic rim-pinch puncture.  Likely culprit, a 1-1/2" asphalt cliff where the "Public Works" crew is prepping Chase Road for pavement.  I avoided it today...

Warm and a bit windy, mixed clouds and sun, a front due through this afternoon and overnight.  Asters are getting serious about blooming, and the thistle seed pods are bursting open -- our goldfinches had better get to work on nesting.  They nest late, to hit the ripening seeds.

This brings me to a little over 800 miles for the season, at least 200 behind where I should be.  Weather, family turmoil, and bad health.

Bombardment over?

We had an enthusiastic little line of thunderstorms run through.  I think the worst of them passed south of us, but enough Sturm und Drang spilled over to satisfy me.

Now the moon is peeking out from layers of scudding clouds.
