Aug. 17th, 2007 12:31 pmI note a note of stridency creeping into this journal. This is something up with which I will not put. All well and good, to rage, rage against the dying of the light, but if you are truly dying that puts an end to it.
I plan to live a while longer, and don't feel that I want to spend whatever amount of time in the level of simmering rage that politics would require. Bad for the digestion, what?
The sky is blue, the grass is green, temperatures in the 70s F, and I need to touch up the paint job on the front porch, the spots the masking tape damaged in the epilogue. Epilogues are supposed to tie up loose ends, not generate new ones.
Meanwhile, the Red Sox are proceeding according to precedent. I anticipate that the Yankees will catch and pass Boston in about three weeks...
