I hope I haven't given the impression that I hate Harry and all he stands for.  I read the first couple or three books and decided I wasn't a member of Potterdom, of Rowling's target audience. That's all.  And Potterdom is more of a phenomenon than a book.

One porcupine corpse, bloated in the July sun and flyblown, about 21 miles into the ride.  Scenic Maine.

Blue sky, warm, not too much wind, so I biked upriver, walked across Hell's Bridge, and down the other side and back into the hills a bit.  Usual suspects in the wildflower department, with goldenrod now added.  Then I came home and watched the week's summary of the Tour, with human-shaped machines biking up the steepest alps faster than I travel on the flat...

Oh, well -- none of them are 60 years old.
