Thursday roadkill report
Jul. 19th, 2007 12:41 pmOne measly flat chipmunk for fifteen miles of riding. I expect more from the world.
(Actually, I expected the road to be plastered with frogs, after a report from Kristen down in Town Hill that she had driven through throngs of them last night. The Night of the Hopping Dead or some such -- this happens regularly with warm weather and a wet night, frogs migrating across the pavement and large numbers failing to make the other side...)
Roads almost dried off, so I hopped on the bike and did my weekday route. Sumac now blooming, larger quantities of brown-eyed daisies, spreading expanses of that damned purple weed. I'm willing to believe that it would survive nuclear war or an asteroid-class impact.
