To all our best neighbors to the north (east, west, south, whatever.)

Judging by the number of Quebec, New Brunswick, and Nova Scotia licensed cars I see on the road around here, not all of you are spending the holiday at home.

Couple of mummified muskrats, two flat snakes (think they were garter snakes in a former life).

Waited for the temperature to get up to 60 F and headed out on the bike.  Upriver, _walked_ the bike across the Bridge of Sighs, downriver the other side, tackled a couple of climbs and then got bored with the wind.  I should have done another hour, but some of those clouds looked ambitious...

Live turtle crossing the road, close enough to destination that I didn't need to stop and move him/her along.  Besides, I think it was a snapping turtle, and it might not have thanked me.  Also a good supply of wildflowers, adding pink and yellow forms of vetch to the purple I've been seeing, and more wild roses.  And some really healthy stands of poison ivy.

I note that the Red Sox have started to revert to type.
