Umpteen millions of dollars to be applied to transportation and water-quality projects, I'd feel a lot better about the prospect if I had even the faintest wisp of a hope of a glimmer that the money would be spent wisely. Too many past bond dollars ended up spent on deferred maintenance or paving over bad road bases...
Then there's the smoke-and-mirrors accounting where they claim that X dollars of state money will draw in two or three X dollars of federal matching funds, as if we don't pay the federal dollars out of our same wallets...
Well, we both washed our hands when we got home.
