Tuesday roadkill report
May. 29th, 2007 11:00 amOne muskrat smeared across the road out near the middle of the bog. Forensics difficult due to the fragmentary nature of the remains, but I saw a shred of that distinctive tail.
Windy this morning, temperatures in the low 60s at bike time, and we have some clouds out there that look ambitious. More rhodora blooming in the wetlands, Canada mayflower actually flowering in May, even if not in Canada, some trout lily and trilliums. Botany by bicycle does not offer an exact or exhaustive survey of spring wildflowers.
