Heat wave

Two days in a row where the temperature reached 70 F. First time since last October. And prospects of MOTS.

On a more depressing front, the sinus thing has attacked again. Don't know if I'll try for another bike ride today -- the antihistamines caution about driving or operating heavy equipment...

Radical changes

Okay, after playing with the Safari browser that came with this new iMac, I finally got my ass in gear and downloaded Firefox.  We've been using Firefox on the PCs, so not a big change.  Some features that Safari doesn't have (or I can't find), including the rich text options for LJ that make links and live usernames possible.  Also, Firefox pages seem to load faster than the same site on Safari.

But I have to remember that downloading 18MB of program no longer takes forever with the DSL connection...

Sunday no-roadkill report

Yes, boys and girls and others, it is indeed the return of the ever-popular (???) Roadkill Report.  With bonus time and mileage figures.

Decided that the antihistamines were _not_ making me dizzy or sleepy, so I got the road bike out, reset the odometer for the year, and pumped up the tires.    No roadkill seen, not even a squirrel or chipmunk.  I guess the annual epidemic of suicidal rodent depression hasn't descended upon our wildlife yet.

I will now go off and watch hockey, having earned couch-potato-hood.
