Dragged the laptop upstairs, plugged it into ethernet, and Lo! -- DSL works on that machine as well. No particular reason why it _shouldn't_, but I discovered long ago that tech doesn't need a reason to screw up.

Sunny again today. I am contemplating bicycle tires and the first exercise thereof. This would be the mountain bike, with knobby tires suited to sandbars across the asphalt and the scattered bits of car that winter has extracted from traffic. Still have meltwater runoff on the streets, but hey, _I_ don't mind a little grit and mud splashed on my old jeans.

And Wife, who does the laundry, understands Mud Season. Or at least Cabin Fever.

Feels a bit weird, dragging the snowblower to one side so I can get the bike out...

Didn't even have to pump up the tires on the mountain bike -- still had decent pressure by the squeeze gauge. But next time riding, I'm gonna use real gloves rather than bike gloves. Temperature about 40 F out there. Desperate times call for desperate measures, and I haven't had a chance to ski in a month.

About 3 miles, 15 minutes.
