Not _as_ windy as yesterday.

And, contrary to past usage, we have not yet been blocked in by the snowplow. Usual practice is that I finish clearing the driveway and the sidewalk, the plow comes by and throws slush far enough to lap against our front steps, and I clear again. Then, in the middle of the night, the plow rumbles through again, giving the resultant barricade several hours to set into concrete before I get out again in the morning...

Did get the sunporch roof cleared yesterday. Will probably do the dining room today, so if you don't hear from me again, I fell off. We haven't reached depths that threaten immediate structural failure, but when you live in snow country, you think about the _next_ storm.

Wife has requested taxi service to the nature center, as the weather has stayed cold enough to prevent salt from clearing rural roads. This way, I get to use _her_ car, already de-iced, rather than cleaning off my own for the later chores such as visiting the Pigeon Loft and stocking up on coffee.

Printed off the draft of Chapter IV on POWERS yesterday, Old Guy under the gun again -- literally.
