Vote early and often

Maine hath a procedure whereby you can cast your ballot with the City Clerk, not actually absentee but ahead of the actual election day. Today's weather looks propitious, something upon which Mainers cannot count. I think I shall avail myself of this convenience as part of my daily rounds.

Of course, this leaves my decisions vulnerable to the Horrific Last-Minute Revelations! (With Added Necrophilia!) that both sides are saving up for the last week of campaigning...

It's not virtue if there's a reward involved

Well, I have invoked my Voter Superpower to make sure that my choices don't get elected... (Never _have_ voted for a winning president, going all the way back to Nixon's first term.)

Did the weekly Pigeon Loft visit en-route to the Civic Center. The contractor has cut various floors loose from that (frightening) central wall, jacked the existing joists up to approximate level, and is now hanging old joists to a new center support. New wine in old bottles, anyone? (Or is it old wine in new bottles? My Biblical Concordance is downstairs...)

Also bought more coffee, some dill Havarti, and thistle seed for the greedy-gut goldfinches. Not all at the same place.
