Tuesday roadkill report
Sep. 26th, 2006 11:31 amOne gray kittycat squashed out near the golf course. I think I saw a collar amidst the mess. Keep track of your pets, folks.
Got out for the morning bike ride, not much to report. Windy. Not much more in the way of fall color there -- Wife thinks we may have a poor "foliage" season, as the trees seem to be turning spotty and then dropping their leaves. Too much warm weather, no local frost yet, the poor abscission (sp?) layers are getting mixed signals. The Maine Tourist Bureau will probably blacklist me for telling all you leaf-peepers to stay home...
Now I have to decide whether to grab a ride on the national park carriage trails this week, or wait for a good day in October. Thursday will be clogged up with appointments, They are forecasting rain for Friday. Don't do the coastal thing on weekends, even _after_ Labor Day.
