Sunday no-roadkill report
Sep. 3rd, 2006 11:37 am(By which you may deduce that Ernesto's rain has not yet reached The Great North Woods. Or this grove of TGNW, at least. I do not speak for the Fortress of Solitude.)
No fresh roadkill, unless you count Forest Avenue out through the bog, which is disintegrating apace. Portions of that have grown Dig-Safe type graffiti, though, which may indicate a plan for repavement.
With blue sky and sunshine, if a breeze, instead of the forecast wet, I took myself out to the lake and across to the river and home again, home again, jiggity jig. Nice 60s weather, I know _some_ of you will call that "cold", but fine for climbing hills with a bicycle. Still managed to work up a sweat.
And spotted a flock of feathered pterodactyls -- I mean turkeys -- down in a cul-de-sac that connects to a local marsh/nature preserve.
