Tuesday roadkill report
Aug. 1st, 2006 10:21 amOne dead raccoon up near the first precast concrete plant on my route. Also a chipping sparrow corpse near the cemetery. That latter is worthy of note because I rarely see identifiable small bird corpses.
Tried to get out for my bike ride ahead of the heat and humidity, got into a light shower for my efforts. Felt good, until it went away and added to the H & H mentioned above. Nothing really notable in the scenery except that the thistles are setting seed, which makes for a lot of happy goldfinches.
Sort of in the fidgety between-stories part of the writing so-called life. Not ready to start anything, still trying to decide what _to_ start, nothing bouncing up and down on my head demanding attention.
Mockingbirds singing this morning.
