Long day's journey into night

Hauled Self and Younger Son and Younger Son's Girlfriend off to a couple of local amusements today. Historic sites, even -- a fort that dates back to the French and Indian Wars and another started for the Aroostook War and (more or less) completed for the Civil War, last garrisoned around 1900. The latter involves deep dark dungeons and musket galleries and such, flashlights recommended. (Barnstead, that's the place I told you about similar to the Citadel.) And Younger Son can still crawl into the barrel of one of the cannons.

They both declined to be photographed in front of Stephen King's spider gate.
