The March of Time
Jul. 2nd, 2006 11:54 amAs part of the continuing festivities, further members of the tribe have gathered. This includes Wife's Brother and the assorted baggage of Wife's Brother's Wife and Wife's Brother's Children. Now, I haven't actually caught on to this Uncle bit, feels rather vague and nebulous. But the last time I saw the nephew and niece, they were down about knee level.
The youngest starts college in the fall. She's dancer-thin (literally) and liable to draw considerable male attention. I'm having difficulty resetting my memories.
Everyone else is getting old, though. The outlandishly-expensive* dinner last night represented celebration of a 65th wedding anniversary. Not ours, but...
* $8.00 for a smallish creme brule** on the dessert menu? Gimme a break. The fancy Italian place two nights back, the similar item was twice the size and half the price and just as good....
** No, I'm not going to fiddle around to put the accents on that.
