Tuesday no-roadkill report
Jun. 27th, 2006 12:47 pmNo fresh roadkill on the bike route. This, as Wife points out every time I mention it, is not a bad thing.
Hazy, hot, and humid again, an interlude between bouts of rain. Snatched the chance for my last bike ride for a week or so, due to Impending Doom. Too much wind, no new wildflowers to report, nothing much in the way of wildlife to report.
Younger Son arrived per schedule yesterday evening, first time we've seen his face in a couple of years. He gets the chore of representing the grandchildren at the Undisclosed Location this year -- Elder Son performed that function last year. Hey, if _they_ can switch off, how come _I_ have to go each year?
And the chaos won't even be done when we get back, as then Younger Son's Girlfriend shows up for the dreaded parental encounter. And I'll be expected to haul them around to various entertainments, through the depths of summer Tourist Hell...
Good thing I got that damned book out of here.
