One dead woodchuck between the two cemeteries -- guess he couldn't decide which one he wanted for the Great Lawn in the Sky. Also, not yet roadkill but trying, about a mile further along in the ride two male cardinals were fighting in the middle of the road. Don't know if they have a cardinal bar up there, they got into the fermented sunflower seed and the barkeep told them to take it outside, but that's a good way to end up as a feathered splot on the asphalt.

Cooler today than yesterday, 70s rather than 80s F, but rather more breeze than I'd like. No great thrills in the flora and fauna department other than the above -- wild mustard is taking over the yellow slot in the fields as the dandelions fade to white.

And this afternoon I haul the page proof revisions on DRAGON'S TEETH down to the post office and mail them back to Nice Editor Lady. That should represent my last intervention in the process bookwards.

Which means I can start rewrites on SIGNATURES.
