What IS it with Texans and energy and the environment???

Item in today's paper that a bunch of twits want to build a multi-thousand acre (40,000?) wind-generator farm off the Texas coast, South Padre Island or thereabouts. For those outside the naturalist world, this is smack-dab in the middle of one of the majorist bird migration flyways in the Western Hemisphere. You'll be able to smell the rotting mangled corpses all the way to El Paso.

Wife suggested that we ship a couple of 747-loads of blackflies down south to prove why we need every damn warbler and flycatcher headed for Maine...

Well, I finished that tearful scene on SIGNATURES this morning, so now -END- actually means it.

And it left me drained, even though I was making it up. Hope it works for other people.
