Tuesday no-roadkill report
Apr. 25th, 2006 11:28 amNo fresh roadkill. Although I do wonder why the two yearling raccoons I reported previously are still out there, apparently unmolested. Has the local scavengers' union pulled a job action?
We got an unexpected gap between two fronts this morning, with actual patches of blue sky and sunshine, so I slipped in a ride. Not as much wind as on Sunday, I reached 27 mph on that same downhill where I was griping about 13 . . .
Printed off the draft of Chapter XXIV this morning, probably three more to go. One where Fat Wizard deals with a bunch of Minions, another for the Big Bad, and the decompression stage. Looks like SIGNATURES may come in at 85-90 K rather than my usual 100+, but mysteries tend to run shorter than fantasy, and this is single first-person viewpoint, without the padding of multiple POV sections where the reader finds out things that no single character knows.
