They are not making them so now.
Mar. 2nd, 2006 12:31 pmIn the continuing saga of the glass casserole that died a horrible death at my hands (or rather, slipping between my hands), Wife has run up against a total gap in the kitchenware department. Apparently tempered glass casserole dishes (with lid) are Out of Fashion. She has found one, Pyrex brand, with sloping rather than near-vertical sides. Still looking for what we _thought_ was a universal item of basic kitchen equipment. At least she still has the 2-quart version. Hell, I abandoned two or three of them in Mom's kitchen when we cleaned the place out. We already _had_ two, in the sizes Wife needed...
Light snow today, apparently we have moved into the mountains overnight. Looks to be ending now, with a total accumulation of maybe 2". Not ski-able.
Added words to SIGNATURES this morning, Fat Wizard has bullied the medical establishment into doing what a patient wants, rather than following the dictates of medical hubris. I have met medical hubris, up close and personal. Remember, it can be a bad idea to piss off a writer.

Desperate times call for desperate skiers
Mar. 2nd, 2006 06:39 pmThe snow continued long enough for maybe 4" to accumulate. I shoveled out and went to the city forest, where the combination of this and the pitiful remnants of last week's effort left _usable_ trails. Not good, but usable. Saw a couple of other desperate souls out gliding through the woods, took a few pictures, may or may not post those that aren't total crap. Did the whole loop this time, so my legs may hate me in the morning.
