Meanwhile, back at the ranch...

Well, I printed out Chapter XIII this morning, in which Fat Wizard gets a considerable surprise. This particular surprise would be pleasant, were it not for the authorly requirement to make him pay for it later. Note to all aspiring characters out there: leading roles involve blood, sweat, and a copious shedding of tears. You have been warned.

I'll be sending the copy-edit of DRAGON'S TEETH back to Nice Editor Lady next week. And from thence to a place of execution, and may God have mercy on your soul.

Our weather has turned from unseasonably warm to a smidge below average, with overnight temperatures down near 0 F (-17 C) and highs below freezing. But still bare ground. The weather PTBs are forecasting snow for tomorrow night into Sunday, but the amount seems to be still in flux. I suspect it will not be enough for skiing. Which could play hell with the local cross-country ski race scheduled for next weekend.

Turning into a media whore?

Got another request from the PenquinGroup Publicity Lady this afternoon -- this one's a magazine. Like as, print. Don't know if I fit the template, as the magazine person wants to ask questions about my double life as a novelist and a 9 to 5 corporate employee...

I had to point out that my day job is self-employment, and I write (well, word-process) in the same office where I architect. We'll see if she follows up.
