Well, the Publicity Lady at Ace (probably at PenquinUSA, more accurately) sent me an email yesterday that somebody from the Local Fishwrapper wants to interview me about DRAGON'S EYE. Now, I _have_ expressed my opinion on the reliability of LF before -- every time they do a bit, news or local color or whatever, that I actually personally know something about, they've gotten some important part wrong.
But I sent an email to LF Reporter Man, and have agreed to talk to him next week. We'll see...
Hey, with my sales figures, I figure I have nothing to lose. (Except having folks I meet on the day job making wisecracks for the next five years*, of course.)
*Or more. Mainers have long memories for public folly. One of the local cops still has to live down his nickname as Cosmo Cop for appearing in a Cosmopolitan item about eligible bachelors, ten or fifteen years ago. He was a student in our karate dojo at the time, and has changed police departments at least thrice since. The nickname follows him.
