De-icing

Finished uncasing Wife's car this morning, so that she could return to her usual rounds. Of course, we get our vehicles back on the road just in time for the _next_ storm, scheduled for tonight and tomorrow, which will likely also involve ice.

At that, we remain grateful that we did not receive the 3' plus of snow experienced by certain northern parts of our fair state. At least the folks up at the biathlon site appreciate their portion. This week's schedule includes Olympic team trials, and they want snow under their skis.

Words committed on SIGNATURES this morning. Detective Sergeant Cash shows up wearing a red mini-dress that covers about half her ass -- takes my wizard three or four blinks to realize that the brown from there to the floor is cloth instead of Cash, pants that hug her curves and match her skin color. Distract 'em and then clobber 'em, just like those chain-mail bikinis.

ReSki

Got out to the city forest again, did about 3 miles. Note to muscles: yes, I meant to do that. It's gonna happen again. Get over it.

Bit of congruence -- at the 8000' trail marker, where I stopped to turn and head back (next time, I'll do the whole 4 mile loop), I heard a rapping tapping tapping overhead. Hairy woodpecker out prospecting for dinner.

And a minor diversion, two different types of itty bitty mousie tracks across the ski trail, one with the tail-drag mark (deer mouse) and one without (meadow vole, AKA field mouse).
