I tried to remove some of the ice from the driveway yesterday. Quit after I noticed frost forming on the asphalt as I removed the covering mess. That's one consequence of temperatures around 0 F on bare ground, followed by snow and rain.
Meanwhile, we have a male cardinal on the snow under our bird-feeder, looking like the front of some seasonal greeting.
Typed through to the end of Chapter VI this morning, getting my wizard out of handcuffs and out of that local police station. He didn't file charges, but those cops will never carry badges again, in any jurisdiction. He knows a lot of people in law-enforcement...
