Signatures
Nov. 5th, 2005 11:10 amThat's the working title of The Next Thing, relating to the magical signature a mage leaves on every spell. Sort of like a fingerprint or the rifling marks on a slug, and used in the same way by forensic magicians to trace criminal mages.
Got in 600 words or so on it this morning, but don't take that as a standard daily wordcount as it represents mostly typing down stuff I figured out days ago.
And to play off the title of this post in a different direction, the signing happens this afternoon. Since most of you reside far beyond any reasonable travel distance, this remains a useless bit of news. We'll see if anybody shows up. When we scheduled this damn thing months ago with Borders by way of Ace, I had no idea this was WFC weekend. So even some of my local peers can't show.
If any of you want signed copies of my books, that could be arranged for a small compensation. The USPS has managed to deliver books to where they were wanted.
And why does LJ spellcheck not recognize "mage" as a word?
