Of shoes, and ships, and sealing wax...
Oct. 4th, 2005 04:45 pmAnd bicycles and paint. We are receiving September weather in October, fog in the morning and sun later, with temperatures in the 70s F. So I am painting, actual paint rather than primer, finished the eaves of the front porch and most of the outside of the upper spindles -- all the high ladder work, I believe. Which is a milestone, as I hate that stuff with a burning passion. Or anyway, my army-surplus knee hates it, with draws the rest of me along for the ride.
Speaking of rides and milestones, reached the 1300 mile mark on the bike odometer today. No guesses as to whether the weather will hold to allow 1400, but that's a passable total for the season. Leaves are turning, but not more than maybe 10% color yet. Our area has yet to receive the first frost, which qualifies as a climatic anomaly.
