The scourge of suburbia

Twice yesterday we encountered groups of three deer -- eastern whitetails, for those who desire precision. We _think_ they were different groups, due to size and coloration. This, in a built-up upscale suburb of a major US city. Kiss your yuppie expensive landscaping goodbye, folks. Deer have been rightly characterized as hoofed rats, eating anything that grows.
And there were bats in the evening. Yay bats, gulp those bugs!
