Marginally better
Jul. 21st, 2005 10:32 amDewpoint 58 F this morning, as opposed to 68 F for the last several days. Temperatures are still supposed to reach the mid to upper 80s. Still not what we expect in coastal Maine....
Purple loosestrife is rearing its ugly flowerheads across the length and breadth of the Maine roadside scene, invasive alien that it is. Maybe we can harvest it for biomass energy? Nothing else makes use of it.
Dead skunk still perfuming the fairway of the country club. Guess the local coyotes turned up their noses at that one. Only new roadkill on the bike route was a dead crow out near the dead hare in the bog. Don't know if that represents causal relationship or coincidence.
Get to start in on new stuff on PENDRAGON AUTUMN, our dear Dierdre waking up with a headache and an iron bracelet around one wrist. Headache caused by a depressed skull fracture, but she's an Old One. Minor inconvenience. The bracelet represents more of a problem.
