July has returned. I need to mow the lawn today, trim some branches out of the maple tree that is technically on our property (even though on the other side of the fence) before it attacks the neighbors' house, and scrape the paint on the front porch. I think this is the world's way to make writing attractive....

The menhir may or may not be columnar basalt. Maureen can't get close enough to examine it to tell -- it sets her teeth on edge and makes her stomach queasy. Probably subsonics.
