Seesaw, whipsaw
Jun. 14th, 2005 10:09 am91 F yesterday (tied local record for the date), 61 F today. Forecast is rain, drizzle, fog for the next two or three days, highs in the 50s or 60s. No wonder we can't get used to this stuff. Next time we top 75 F, I _will_ haul out that air conditioner and set it up.
Consolidated GHOST POINT chapter files into a single manuscript file this morning, mechanical slog of importing and inserting page breaks and importing some more. The totality comes to about 560 manuscript pages (with the current font and printer definition*, of course) and 113,000 words. I haven't printed it off, because we need to go through and read the revisions "as a story" first, for pacing and gaps and plot snags, and adding or subtracting one line here and there would toss a major chunk of paper in the trash....
Anyway, one step closer to sending the pesky thing off to The Nice Agent Lady.
*Don't ask _me_ why 12 pt Courier New pages differently on two different models of HP Laserjets and an HP Deskjet.
